Teach them skills’ is a quarterly programme where women in the IDPs, rural, and slum areas are empowered with different skills such as soap making, pastry, disinfectants, and making different oils. Sisters by Heart Global Initiative targets vocational training for WOMEN, including persons with disabilities and girl children in vulnerable situations.
Over 500 women have acquired new skills through this programme.
Tutors at ‘Teach them skills’ are highly skilled with years of experience. Participants are grouped and examined orally to determine the skills they have an interest in.
The main objective of this project is to empower, skill up, and make women self-employed, which will in turn boost their confidence, make them more independent, and make them more valuable to their families and society at large.
These skills includes;
The scholarship programme “Educate the Girl Child” offers the most deserving but underprivileged members of our society a glimmer of opportunity and hope. A testament to our unwavering commitment to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and our goal to fostering a better, more equitable future for all, this initiative, which was launched in 2020, stands.
Our Objective: The fundamental goal of “Educate the Girl Child” is to empower, elevate, and give girls with high-quality education who frequently find themselves on the edges of society. We passionately believe that education can remove the bonds of poverty, prejudice, and disadvantage while paving a path towards limitless opportunities.
Our scholarship programme is designed to help the most vulnerable members of our community, including those who are less fortunate, orphans, those who have been displaced by violence (IDPs), and people who bravely manage their disability. We want to close the gap by giving these girls the chance to succeed academically and overcome adversity by giving them priority.
More than merely a programme, the “Educate the Girl Child” Scholarship Programme is a movement that breaks down barriers and overcomes obstacles. It’s a commitment to empowering the subsequent generation of educated, self-assured, and powerful women who will, in turn, act as change agents in their families, communities, and beyond.
We believe that educating a girl isn’t just an investment in her future; it’s an investment in the future of our world.
In the face of unprecedented challenges brought about by the global COVID-19 outbreak, Sisters by Heart Global Initiative took a stand for the vulnerable and launched the “MaskUp” campaign. Our mission was clear: to provide a lifeline of protection to those who needed it most while empowering them with knowledge and resources for a safer and healthier future.
At Sisters by Heart Global Initiative, we believe that compassion is a powerful force for change. The “MaskUp The Street” campaign was a testament to this belief, aiming to ensure that every individual, regardless of their circumstances, could access a fundamental safeguard against the virus – a mask.
Mask for All. Care for All.
Project Girl Child’
We believe in a world where every girl can fully embrace her potential, unhindered by the challenges of period poverty. Our mission is to inspire, educate, and uplift young girls, equipping them with the knowledge, resources, and confidence they need to face life’s challenges head-on.
What is Period Poverty? Period poverty refers to the lack of access to menstrual hygiene products, education about menstruation, and proper sanitation facilities. It’s a silent crisis that affects countless young girls, inhibiting their ability to attend school regularly and limiting their opportunities for personal growth.
Therefore, these remains some of the objectives of this project:
Empowering Through Education: We are championing comprehensive menstrual health education. By breaking the silence surrounding menstruation, we aim to educate girls about their bodies, cycles, and hygiene practises. Knowledge is power, and ‘Project Girl Child’ fosters a safe and open environment for girls to ask questions and learn.
Ending Period Poverty: We are dedicated to breaking down barriers. ‘Project Girl Child’ supplies free menstrual hygiene products to girls in need, ensuring that they can attend school without interruption and pursue their dreams unhindered. By providing sustainable solutions, we are taking crucial steps towards eradicating period poverty.
Inspiring Resilience: Through motivational talks, mentorship, and success stories, we inspire girls to dream big and aspire to greatness. By nurturing their self-esteem and self-worth, we’re nurturing the future leaders of our communities.
Sensitization to Sexual Abuse and Mental health, which is gradually creeping in at a young age in our society today,
